Nurse Coordinator
This position is full time. Competitive pay and excellent benefits package available.
Candidate is required to pass a background check, a pre-employment physical, and a drug screen. HIPAA compliance is mandatory for all employees of the healthcare system.
Position Scope:
- Assists the Clinic Director and performs assigned tasks
- Assists with ensuring the quality and safe delivery of Nursing Services
- Assists with the design and implementation of Nursing Staff Development programs
- Provides support and assistance to nursing, lab and reception staff as needed
- Assists with development and implementation of procedures and policies that reflect approved standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Current Kansas Licensed Registered Nurse
- Minimum ADN, BSN preferred
- Minimum of 2 years Staff Nurse Experience
- Computer Skills and Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
- Demonstrated leadership potential
Physical Requirements and Essential Functions:
- Interact successfully with members of the medical and hospital/clinic staff
- Communicate, both verbally and in writing, with physicians, staff, patients/family
- Perform tasks involving physical activity which may include lifting, bending, standing
- Have motor coordination and dexterity required to safely administer medications/treatments
- Be able to visually distinguish colors and color changes
- Have the ability to handle stressful situations
- Have the ability to lift 50lbs
Duties/Responsibilities:
These duties and responsibilities described below represent the general tasks performed on a daily basis; other tasks may be assigned.
- Reports to the Clinic Director
- Assists the Clinic Director with duties as assigned
- Performs telephone triage, utilizing professional nursing assessment and prioritizing according to the urgency of need
- Exemplifies compliance with hospital/clinic policies and procedures, EMTALA/HIPAA
- Ensures quality and safe delivery of nursing care
- Assists in other roles (nurse, phlebotomist, and receptionist) as necessary, using established guidelines
- Recognized by co workers, patients as responsive, courteous, respectful and cooperative
- Provide compassionate care without regard to race, religion, age, disability, or status
- Displays a positive attitude toward his/her position
- Accepts constructive criticism in positive manner, provides feedback
- Performs other duties as assigned willingly
- Attends education, and staff meetings, pursues educational opportunities
