At Rice County District Hospital, we understand that finding the right place for senior living is a significant decision that can be overwhelming. To provide solutions within our community, the hospital operates an intermediate long-term care unit, and a beautiful independent living community located adjacent to the hospital campus.

RCDH Intermediate Care

For seniors who may need long-term care and assistance with activities of daily living, intermediate care may be the answer.  Residents of intermediate care enjoy private rooms with their own bathroom. Our caring staff and certified activity director provide support and keep residents hopping with activities throughout the day. They enjoy monthly pizza parties, picnics on the patio, birthday parties and holiday gatherings with friends and family.

For more information, call the Rice County District Hospital at 620-257-5173.

“Family and friends gathering to celebrate special occasions doesn’t grind to a halt when admission to intermediate care occurs. We like to think that the family circle becomes a little bigger and includes the staff that strives to provide excellent care every day.”

– Mary Konen, RN, Swing Bed Coordinator
