Lymphedema is caused when the lymph vessels are unable to transport lymph fluid back into circulation resulting in buildup of protein rich fluid, swelling and thickening of the skin.
Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) consists of:
Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)
- Graduated Compression Garments
Meticulous Skin Care
To enhance the patient’s quality of life through the development or improvement of effective and functional communication skills.
- Swallowing study
- Memory/ Recall training
- Speech and vocalization training
